Established in 1996Prior to the establishment of the Markdale and District Food Bank, families in need were assisted for about 13 years by our neighbouring community, Owen Sound, and The Salvation Army Food Bank. In 1996, a group of local concerned citizens established what is now an independently-run community food bank that is proud to serve our friends here in the community of Markdale and surrounding area.
